Sally Anne Stahl

Sally Anne began her pottery career early in life, at 10, trying to sell mudcakes to her friends. Not finding her market, she didn't discover the true joy of clay till her 30's. Since rediscovering her love of mud, she has crisscrossed the country learning all that she could. Currently her focus is on wood fired functional ware. Check out Sally Anne's work here

Chris McCormick

Chris was first exposed to working in clay in junior high school. After thirty years he found his way back and has been playing in the mud ever since. Chris believes in the handmade movement and that functional art can enrich our daily lives in ways that the mass produced object cant. Chris looks forward to the day when his passion can become his living. Check out Chris's work here

Celeste Iida

Celeste has been involved with arts and crafts since the age of twelve. When she is not engrossed in creating clay vessels, she is working 9 to 6 in an administrative job. In 1994 she discovered clay and has not looked back. Her work has been in many exhibits and most recently has shown at American Museum of Ceramic Art, Barnsdall Art Park, Ayres Hall at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, Burbank Creative Arts Center, Boddy House at the Descanso Gardens, and the George Doizaki Gallery. Her work is in many private collections in Southern California. She is the current President of American Ceramic Society - Design Chapter of Southern California and is an active member of the California Japanese Guild of Ceramic Art.

Evan Vieser

Evan received his formal education from the School for American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. There he studied under Richard Hirsch and Julia Galloway and received a BFA in Ceramics and Ceramic Sculpture. After moving to Pasadena in 2005, a half mile of the Xiem Clay Center, he became a member which allowed him to work with clay again, after a 5 year absence. Learn more about Evan here!

Junzo Mori

Junzo received his undergraduate degree from USC. A native of Japan, Junzo is an active potter and participates in shows throughout LA.  With years of firing experience and with the sensitivity and care of an artist, Junzo mixes all the studio glazes and obtains consistently good firing results at Xiem Clay Center. In his spare time Junzo also leads ceramic tours of Japan.
